Welcome home Tony! Nice to see pictures from your homeland. After such a long journey, it must be fine to be home again.
We stayed with Leonie and Peter last night, was full of songs and laughs. We’ll be at fingal beach campground from mid next week through the end of the month.
Yes it is, we weren’t sure how we’d feel as it’s the end of the big lap, yet it was a most joyous feeling. Walking in the country and hearing just birds and animals instead of the raucous sounds of the city was sublime.
The Bob Kerry Pedestrian Bridge, across the Missouri River, between Omaha, Nebraska and Council Bluffs, Iowa, with some of the Downtown Omaha skyline visible in the second photo. I bike across it somewhat often, and I tend to take a lot of photos. Both the Omaha and Iowa visitor’s bureaus asked to use the bottom one, which was nice.
It’s almost the spring equinox, so here’s this morning’s sunrise from East Coast, Singapore, just over a degree off the equator.
I also did a timelapse video.
Cheers,
Keith
Not sure how many of you across the pond are far enough north to see the Aurora, but there was a HUGE show last night!! It was my first time seeing them (out of several previous attempts). Photos taken at a boat launch in Markesan, WI, about an hour and a half from home/Milwaukee (needed to drive to escape the light pollution). You can’t see the colors with the naked eye, but still a super cool phenomenon and well worth freezing my fingers off for!
They’ve been on my bucket list for years, but now that I’ve seen them, I hope it’s not a once-in-a-lifetime thing!!
gorgeous shots, what an experience
it was on here last night but cloudy locally
My photography skills are a lot stronger than my guitar skills Working on closing that gap a little (although I certainly don’t want to stop progressing in photography to allow that to happen).
Wish I had known. I was in Fargo ND last night. Most likely would have been visible there.
@markr31 They were visible at least as far south as central Iowa last night! It sounds like there’s a slimmer possibility of them tonight - could give it a shot if you’re in a dark enough/northern enough area. I, however, am planning on an early bedtime tonight - I didn’t get home until 1:30am!
Beautiful pictures!
Hi Benedict,
I’m almost as green as the grass ,what a view… but that’s not a good thing when it comes to this …what a great place that must be for you…what a sound to play in there in a somewhat larger room
I wish you a lot of rest and guitar playing.
Greetings…
What a beautiful site to see. I immediately think of Mel Gibson riding his horse in front of it in Braveheart movie. I’m sure Hollywood did not capture the true emotions of what really happened. I started this thread a long Tim ago. I’m glad to see it’s still going. Lots of nice pics here.
Jeff
Keep at it in your guitar playing. Don’t give up. Before I started Justin’s course I thought all was hopeless. A couple years pass and I posted more than 20 videos here playing and singing songs. The photo is beautiful though. I love sunsets from everywhere.
Jeff from California
I was out on Catalina island last month, which is about 22 miles off the coast of Los Angeles. This pic is from a beach called Descanzo Cove and has the Casino in the background. This Casino was built in 1929 inspired by Italian style architecture and artwork. The Wrigley family has a large presence on the island and William Wrigley built this (yes the chewing gum people). I added some images of the artwork as well.
On another note, I played the guitar on the beach in front of people for the first time in quite a while and posted videos here. in LA county, musicians are all over the place so not many people even raised an eyebrow to look, but no rotten tomatoes were thrown either lol.
