Hi Nicole,
Thank you very much…Surprisingly enough, the garden is not so much work … Not anymore … got to choose 8 years of different plantsetc … try it out etc , and it almost goes by itself … a little bit of pruning in between and a big turn in the spring…
Thanks
Lovely looking garden Roger must be a joy this time of year. Is it me are those folk walking on water Wonderful lakeside restaurant on your doorstep as well.
it is a village (actually a city) with many believers and certainly in the past (part of The bible belt ) … now you understand why
Thanks
@TheMadman_tobyjenner I was thinking at first that the building behind those people walking on water was the restaurant and @roger_holland had pinched one of the restaurants table numbers and was getting the food orders delivered to his garden.
Those are really beautiful pictures Roger. I spent a lot of time in the Netherlands in the late 1990s. Mostly Amsterdam and Schevinegen. Not sure if I spelled it right. I got on the wrong train once and ended up in the northern most tip of Holland. I remember asking the locals about he windmills and was surprised that people lived inside like a house. Beautiful country there.
Erg aardig
Jeff
Hi Jeff,
Scheveningen it is…but I understood exactly what you meant so it was 100% right in my world
Thanks …and yes it is strange that people live in some old and even working windmills
Personally, I think amsterdam (the center) just like scheveningen is terrible to be…I prefer peace and quiet…
Greetings…
Santa Monica is about 2 1/2 hours from me and one of the best beaches in LA county. That means the richy rich live there. It makes sense why someone wouldn’t last living there. I can’t afford parking let alone rent. Lol. Here are a couple pics last time I was there. Traffic is always a mess. The boardwalk has been in several movies and has rollercoasters and amusement park rides.
Meant to post yesterday but me and the girl child have been busy in the garden, while Nanny looks after the grandkids. Not that 19 and 15 yr olds need much shepparding.
So another Sunday and some more beach combing, this time over the border in Brittany (Bandit Country) but only 25 minutes from chez moi. And this time SUN !!!
About 15km of quiet beach and very few folks around. With a low shelf it’s not an area for swimming due to its shallowness. Tide goes out a long long way but there’s the odd bit of quicksand to be wary of. So folk tend to go west from Cancale where the beaches are awesome (and those that know me know that’s a rarely used word!)
Think we found a couple of Tonttu Gites which just had to be explored Madman style. @JokuMuu I am sorry to say they were empty. Perhaps still in the sauna
Mont St Michel always on view !
Pick your own Samphire
Local HART team doing exercises. Daughter pinged her boss to ask why the did have a hovercraft !
What more could you want, half an hour from your doorstep ?
And always someone keeping a watchful eye. Beware !
Another early morning dart in the coming days. This time starting a little further east starting here Chapelle Sainte-Anne-de-la-Grève and wondering on the direction of the Mont.
Oh how I miss dear Blighty
Oooh forget the musseler craft. Land of oysters and all things shell fish !
And daughter catch of the day
Beautiful pictures The problem where the Tontut are is easily solved. Most likely they are already on the way to Finland to help their fellow gnome-comerades protecting Finland from the “once a decade” thundestorm that is supposed to hit us tonight and or at least us here in the South most likely tomorrow
Seriously though, do you have any idea what these huts are actually for? They look too small to be some kind of refuge or so…
Hey all,
Albuquerque is in New Mexico, the “Land of Enchantment”… we do have a lot of enchanting things to see!!!
Albuquerque sunrise
Hot air balloons during our Fiesta
Sandia mountains from Albuquerque
Albuquerque from atop Sandia Peak
New Mexico sunset
Hope this is enjoyable!

Haven’t got a clue Nicole but the one I went into could easily hold 4 adults and many many Tontut ! These things are like a magnet to me I just have to go in and explore if I can !
Hope the weather stays calm for you.
Oops… not sure how that funny car pic got in there… went to the Albuquerque Dragway last week for the drag racing! Some amazing cars doing nearly 200 mph! Hope my hearing is ok… even with earplugs it was painfully loud!!!
Tod
And I was about to say what a cracking looking dragster ! Nice place Tod.
Thanks Toby, we’re a High Desert climate… Albuquerque is approximately a mile above sea level with the Sandia & Manzano mountains to the East, several extinct volcanoes to the West and the Rio Grande river flowing through the middle of the city. So it’s a sort of “bowl shape” that we can see really far east to west… very open feel. We definitely have all four seasons with Fahrenheit temperatures ranging from 10-15 degrees in winter to over 100 degrees in summer. Predominately dry but we have a monsoon season during the summer months which helps to make things a bit more green and adds a little humidity. Overall, it’s a pretty nice place to live!
Your pics look really nice too… we love to visit the ocean when able… usually it’s California because of proximity… “only” about a 12.5 hour drive from our house to the beach!!!

As Jeff, @SDKissFan , mentioned Santa Monica of being home and meeting point of the ‘richy rich’, I thought of posting some pics of the Austrian version of St. Monica. Last week I was on holiday in the mountain area (no, there is no beach around ) and did also a short visit to Kitzbühel. It’s a beautiful little town in Tyrol and for whatever reason the hotspot for all those who are as wealthy as Donald Ducks uncle (no, not me ).
“buzzing on the B string” is the song that made me make a rude gesture at learning guitar when i was about 12. it was horrible. Hope that critter played it well.
and wow, just realized that was 2W ago that message went up.
What an awesome site to wake up to. Thanks for sharing.
Beautiful!!!
