Rogers rock on wheels

When we moved to Manchester in 2000, Ger and I decided to take the kids trick or treating (age 2 and 4). We were the only family with kids on the block and the neighbours thought we were beggars…
This was the first year we didn’t carve pumpkins and hand out rubbish to the urchins. All our kids are grown up and I was out playing volleyball with my new club. Many of the others came in scary costumes. I came as myself

My daughter’s pumpkin last year

Hi Silvia @Silvia80

So nice  and also that you do something with it on school …
a little less of those headaches … tip for next year, noise-dampening earplugs (those specil for music so that they can shout to you for help when they …well what ever those little monsters can break /destroy :joy:

ooo Brian @brianlarsen ,
:joy:
Lovely picture of the team and you’re absolutely right… you’re scary enough like that.
I hesitate to show that pumpkin photo to Hermine, because it is so beautiful :sunglasses: , I fear that she will spend a whole weekend scraping out the pumpkin next year (or this winter :upside_down_face:)…

Greetings and :sun_with_face: from here

When I was a kid my pals and I were delighted if we got a toffee apple and a handful of monkey nuts after saying our party pieces at the door. Nowadays the kids look at you with disgust if you don’t give them money. Sorry Rogier @roger_holland, you are sowing the wrong seeds. When the word gets round that you give out money you’ll have a queue of kids you don’t know from Adam knocking at your door.

I actually completely agree with you … I also said and did this with shame on my cheeks, knowing that it is not appropriate at all … a little bit for my defense  these were the 2 sweetest children in the neighborhood … and I said also that this is not appropriate at all and that this was purely because of all the effort of dressing up and cleaning up chores over the past year (I have often seen them cleaning up plastic and paper for our square)…

I promise you this was once and never again

Greetings

Nicely played @roger_holland , you’re definitely making good progress!
That’s a nice song to play, proper blues :guitar:

Hi Brian @brianlarsen

I’m not sure yet what I think of it, I only looked briefly, but I thought you should at least be aware :blush:that this is even mentioned here on the serious news on the radio ( but giving your own topic was going a bit far)

Dutch article

This below may provide some clarity for those interested

You’re aware of my admiration for Meneer Gave (en De Slechte Zaden ), but it doesn’t extend to his visual art.
Religion has always played a large part in his artistic oeuvre as you can see in his latest Red Hand Files offering :innocent:

I’ve been looking like crazy… on my phone :confounded:

in that link I didn’t get further than that first page (stupid phone me  ).and thought…ooo my goodness… to call this ugly :flushed::joy:  …so I kept looking

…or maybe see Roman (his kid) as art :scream::joy:

luckily I had access to my computer again and saw it also there … (long time ago that I looked there)

so that art was old news… not the exhibition… I’ll skip this one too :joy:

Lost a lot of practice time :upside_down_face:

Tot later

Update for myself…

I’m just replaying myself here…my wife was ill at the time and the line 6 was sent on October 15. Last Tuesday, November 12, it was back home and I was very happy, but unfortunately it still doesn’t charge until the light is no longer green. flashes and after a while I get 4 short red flashes…
An email has just gone out that I hope for better service from Thomann and that I cannot do without my wireless system for so long again (well can but do not accept)…I don’t sit still and one cable down… the cat only goes to the garden for a few minutes each time in the morning and I am the doorman, so that guitar cord keeps getting run over when go to the computer or kikking a pedal or?? and when the door must opened the cable has to go in and out every time (yes real life problems )

I hope they will take a look here (I have noticed that they obviously don’t want a bad name and are certainly sensitive to that in a large forum)…

Every company makes mistakes, and that’s no problem…I judge them on how they solve their mistakes (I’m not going to wait that long again anyway)

Awaiting a good solution :crossed_fingers:

Up-date wireless system…

A little hesitation to write this down now, but after 7 days green I dare to do it .

After a few days (which I thought was a little too long) I received a message from Thomann that after their failed update of my Line 6 I should now try myself and received a link with a 14 point approach :grimacing:… I was rather disappointed because I was hoping for a new one now … but who knows, maybe it could be solved in one day…

So just waiting until my wife was home to get the right cable in the computer and possible help with those technical things that she …well she is not me :upside_down_face:. … Due to circumstances, this was possible the first 2 evenings ,fortunately I could use the transmitter sinds it got back for at least 45 minutes/ hour … only when I put it in the charger it start acting strange again with it continuing to flash red or flashing green after half an hour and then quickly red again…

But now the good… about 8/10 times I took out the transmitter and pressed the metal pin under the transmitter (I once read that this was good for something just when I bought it in case of a certain malfunction, but I already had this done before before he went back to Thomann) and day 2 that I did that occasionally, at the end of the afternoon it suddenly remained green / stable without blinking so it was fully charged …

It works better now than it did before the malfunctions started many weeks ago… I don’t understand it at all and it seems as if the updates from Thomann (because I didn’t do anything) needed time to start working. … just writing this down feels so ridiculous … yes, I don’t know, but it works again and therefore better than ever - charges faster - certainly lasts the full promised time (that’s 8 hours and I certainly I tested for 7.5 hours)…

My last AVOYP was with cable and that was very good to do again, because now I am extra happy with my last AVOYP (and knowing that I was crossing my fingers that morning to see if it would continue to do it)

Sometimes I’m jealous of people just with their acoustic unamplified guitar and no gear stuff :sunglasses:…just really sometimes ,I like some gear a lot

Greetings and I hope this for the history books

Morning Rogier,
I’m feeling a tiny bit guilty, as I had read about your problems with the Line 6 transmitter, but never commented :grimacing:
I ran into what sounds like similar problems about 6 months ago. Red light. Not charging. Not transmitting. I thought I had tried everything but to no avail. I went back a couple of months later and Hey Presto! It works again flawlessly :open_mouth: I have no idea whether it was something I did or simply a ghost in the machine, but happy days. It does sound like there is a bug somewhere in the system, but good to see you making hay while the sun shines.

Regarding the performance:
Careful with that axe, Rogier!
All that headshaking, eyebrow-wiggling and smiling can be dangerous when you’re playing guitar in charge of a vehicle…
I’m glad to see you didn’t leave out any of the thumb-plucks this time.
Let’s call the slight hesitation before the final chord ‘artistic interpretation’
Bravo! :clap: :bouquet::clap: :bouquet::clap: :bouquet:
(Tech is fun!)

Greetings

Glad you got it sorted Roger. Which model were you using ? I’ve been contemplating going wireless the deeper and deeper into BLIM I got and the countless times I tripped over cables !
If I take that route I’d like to avoid a “suspect” package !

Thanks , and once again i am very happy with it now , I have read (also from other wireless) that sometimes a simple software update is needed, but next time I hope they immediately send me a link so that I can try it at home first so that I am not without it for so long. (my wife just said, order another transmitter …uh …maybe next time)

Other than that I am very satisfied with it, I often sit about 5 meters away and despite the advice not to let other wireless equipment in between because that can cause interference, I have never had a malfunction/outage…

Have fun choosing :sunglasses:, now it’s the time for the offers and you now know that you want wireless … go for something

Greetings
