Now I remembered that sometimes after work when my head had been too hot for some time… I prepare some of those kitchen paper towel… fold it so it fits my forehead, soak it with water (not dripping wet) - well, two of them - and put them in the freezer for a short time and then put one of them on my front… helps when my head feels like it’s boiling and if you have two you can exchange them every now and then. It’s only helping for a short time, but it’s nice because it sticks to the forehead… I guess that probably there are nicer solutions out there even…

Well, 10 years ago, when friends living in Germany moved, I received paper towels with the message that this was stronger than the one here in holland.
But I fear that I will make a mess in no time and my seat cushion will be soaking wet 
( oke i don`t fear …I know )
I just use Geschirrtuch here occasionally …so so much easier for me …And stick to the forehead ??? how do I play ,how do I I write or keep my head still for minutes 
without letting that wet piece of paper hit my keyboard / phone or the cat
But …Thank you for your input and I certainly laughed quite a bit while typing, and I can also see you with that wet rag on your head when I look at your avatar… yes, it’s going well and although it seems different, it’s just that the nights are a bit bad… just keep it slow keep calm

But it has a sour edge because I find it absolutely ridiculous that the otherwise perfect headphones I have are made of rubber/plastic?? of the ear cups and the headband have perished and this happened very quickly (3 years or so) and that was (I think) an expensive one at around 140 euros and these are not replaceable to an excess of annoyance…
now just a much cheaper one with replaceable parts …

The reason that I am looking forward to the headphones is that my wife also often uses them with the piano and what I find very annoying is that I have experienced (twice in my life) and have also read a lot that the ear cups and headband of headphones deteriorate so quickly.

I know that same problem too with headphone earpads and possibly head cushions or other parts. Very annoying when they were good and still sound great, but you’ve got black particles over your ears and clothes and whereever…
I also got AKG ones some time ago with exchangeable parts. The very classic studio ones and I think those replacement parts will be available for some time to come.
