Never had an issue with this Clint, as long as its a two way street.
@ReneAsologuitar Welcome Rene and thanks for sharing that cover. I suspect you underplay your talents, as you are undoubtedly an accomplished player (that lives in a guitar shop?). Hope that you can share some of that experience here, with the folks learning from Justin. Another perspective is always helpful, as long as you are not passing on bad habits !
Anyway welcome aboard and good to see you are already interacting and engaging with the community. Long may it continue.
Just a thought, I might be worth dropping this into your “Intro” post, as it will soon get lost in this thread. That will give a wider audience a chance to see what you’re about. Feel free to expand. But like I say just MHO.
Excellent, Rene. Brought me right back to high school. Sure do remember that song. You have great skills and that Taylor is so beautiful. Nice guitar collection behind you too!
Hi @ToshS ,
Thank you for the wonderful comments!!!
Great memories from this classic, indeed!!!
You are so appreciated, my friend!!!
Respectfully,
Rene
Your take on this song was unique and interesting-very enjoyable. I posted this song here too last month. I really loved this song years ago. Have a listen if you want to compare to your version. You look like you are playing in a music toy store there-loving it
Hi @mikeGmell ,
You are so awesome, and than ks for the great question and wonderful comments!
I love your huge compliments as well!!!
Here’s my set-up:
2 mics; Shure SM-58 (guitar), and Ear Trumpet Labs “Edwina” (vocals)
INTO - Yamaha MG10FX Mixer (I am using room reverb #6)
INTO - UAD Volt 2/76 Audio Interface (love the built-in compressor and vintage mic preamp)
INTO - IMAC, I am using Quick Time Player recording a movie
Thanks for asking.
Thanks Rene, for the info on your setup - that’s very helpful. I’m going to try recording with something a little more basic:
Audio Technica AT2020 mic for vocals
Spark amp for guitar
Mic and Amp into a Behringer U-Phoria UM2 Audio Interface
Audio Interface into iMac
And record with Quicktime on the iMac
And maybe I can make adjustments and add effects with a DAW.
I’m not sure my setup makes sense but I’ll give it a go.
