A bit of jazz tonight: Grant Green, George Benson, Gabor Szabo
Hi girls and boys,
Today May 5th we celebrate freedom in the Netherlandsā¦this year it will get even more meaning, and this wonderful woman has of course another meaning with itā¦but freedom in whatever form has to be celebrated and to be cherishedā¦in the past, now and in the futureā¦
Happy freedom day Rogier.
Freedom from who?
Thanks Stefan,
The end of the second world warā¦big celebrated in my youth,ā¦now there are various festivals spread outā¦but it hasnāt been an official day off for a few years now (to our great annoyance) ā¦ .but that will change againā¦ Theā¦government is finally realizing that freedom is not self-evident,also here in this part of the worldā¦something I have realized all my life, because of my interest in that terrible pastā¦
Greetings
ā¦ and only a week after celebrating being ruled by a king
