Think that acoustic DBRR could be better than the original, so much raw power ! :sunglasses:

I was positively surprised by the unplugged version!

They are definitely a band worth seeing live. The gig I went to was so much fun, and they really gave it all. If you can drive to Paris, they are in your neck of the woods next Friday, I highly recommend!

Thatā€™s perfect timing. I am just waiting for a my copy of ā€œFrank & Co - conversations with Frank Zappaā€ book to arrive. My knowledge of Zappaā€™s music is very limited, so thank you for sharing!

You might want to check out the movie ā€˜Zappaā€™. A documentary which is very well made and informative. Bill, I forget his name of ā€˜Bill and Tedā€™ fame directed it.

Youā€™re welcome  That book looks interesting, Iā€™ll try to track it down.

Actually, Zappa played once in my hometown in 1991 (with Hungarian musicians to boot) and there used to be a club in the city named after him.

Iā€™m really enjoying their new album Adi. Some great tracks on there but yes, this one is a banger.

Did you get yourself a bubble gum pink one?

These be my two songs for today.

I would if I had a vinyl player :grinning: for now I will enjoy the Spotify version :grinning: and I do like the album too, wasnā€™t amazed at first but after few attempts I like most songs than not

:joy: Yeah, they do help donā€™t they. I find that with a few of their albums, they do tend to be growers.

Chris Buck has permission from the Gods to wear a man bun for the rest if his life. If you donā€™t know the band, hopefully youā€™ll check them out. Chris has been a star for a while, but the band is going to catch up. As Chris says, twelve years in the making.

Never give up. https://youtu.be/dDtW9luhxyo

You got to love Joe

Couple of treadmill teasers off my 81/162 BPM playlist for this mornings 2 miler. Leaving it on shuffle always presents a surprise, as the list were all set up years ago in the early iToon daze.

Had to go find the Hyde Park version after the run, playlist has the studio version

And a nice way to wind things up the last 4 minutes. Again this time a great live version from the En Vivo album.

Well that was fun for sure and reminded me how old I am getting. Completely forgotten about Hall and Oates over the years but shoot thatā€™s a lot of years. Nice share. :+1:

I use to watch Darylā€™s house a lot. The musicians heā€™s had on cover the full spectrum and always have a good time.

I very much doubt it was broadcast this side of the pond. Had to look it up. But I think it started in 2012 and we were just settling in over here back then, so I guess it could have been on one of the UK satellite channels but certainly no bells ringing. Lots of people on the shows that Iā€™d never heard of, when I checked the episodes. So as you say full spectrum. Walsh is always top dollar !

Great list but one jumped out and I need a lullaby LP to send me off but its likely to have the opposite effect. What the heck.

:sunglasses:

My favorite is his Classic ā€œDonā€™t Eat Yellow Snowā€.

I still have his poster of him sitting on the toilet. (Yes, Iā€™m a child of the 60ā€™s) (so to speak).
