What are you currently listening to? 2022

No I didnā€™t think you phrased anything wrong. After all her career was in not so well known bands until she joined Nightwish who, well, letā€™s face it, Tarja had made quite famous.

Itā€™s fascinating what you can discover listening and experimenting with various kinds of music! Iā€™m surprised every day!

I must admit I thought that no one could replace Tarja, I didnā€™t care much for Annette - I thought that she was a mistake for them but when Floor came along it all came good and the more I listened to her the more I realised that she had one major advantage to Tarja, sheā€™s much more versatile.
I get a lot of verbal off friends and family about my musical tastes, they think Iā€™m a silly old bu99er (Iā€™m 70) that shouldnā€™t be listening to the music I do; my attitude is that music has no boundaries, if you like it you like it - end of! Needless to say I switch off when theyā€™re into that mode :joy::joy::joy:

Daryl listen to what you want us old rockers have have got the stick together. When the beige cardigans want you to listen to chamber music you know where they need to go.

TBH Toby I donā€™t give a hoot what anyone else thinks Iā€™m me not who they want me to be and if they object to that itā€™s tough :joy::joy::joy:
I do it all the more just to annoy them :+1::+1::+1:

Oh I definitely agree!

Haha I definitely agree to that too! If they tell you otherwise, tell them to go fā€¦igure :joy:

My tastes in music vary from death metal to Paganini and from swing to traditional (Greek) music.

Paganini is a great choice for guitar, particularly the Caprice, another guitarist I like, sheā€™s also a great singer also classically trained!

Aeroplanes and guitars. Now weā€™re talking!

Amazing!! I didnā€™t know them but I think Iā€™ll be listening to a lot of them from now on!

I really liked the contrast of a classical piece played on a shredder Ibanez plugged into a ā€œmetal onlyā€ Ironheart ampā€¦
Just wow. Goes to show that we shouldnā€™t pigeonhole guitars and amps perhapsā€¦

On the same subject, watch this when you have some time:

Pretty impressive, shredding classical to me is interesting, but letā€™s face it Malmsteen was one of the first to do it (I think).
This is Beritā€™s other side, see what you think!

It is a killer debut album. I was exposed to that album at a young age as my elder sister - some years older than me - had it and played it for me on her ace stereo system quite a lot when I visited her.
