John Mayall - Cards on the Table [Official Audio] - YouTube

Just picked up this John Mayall album, sooooo good! Joe Walsh Plays on it. Itā€™s several years old and was referred to me by Joe Bonamassa on his site.

So great to hear John still doing the blues the way he did it over 50 years ago, He launched the careers of so many including clapton and Fleetwood Mack.

The album is titled Talk About That. If you like the blues itā€™s a great album to add to your collection!

John Mayall & The Bluesbreakers with Gary Moore - So Many Roads - YouTube

Didnā€™t realize John had been so active! He will turn 90 this year.

I just got addicted to thisā€¦ :grinning:

Daughter had another carp day in the office and in for the long haul following BMA announcements today. Just sent me this from Oliver Anthony. Spooky as Iā€™d not sent Rich Men Of The North her way. Funny world init ?

By the way ā€œhomeā€ is here, not her place in the UK, only been gone 10 days !! :sunglasses:

Without knowing what I was listening to, my wife asked why I was listening to cheap hotel calling centre music :see_no_evil: Considering the cheap phone speaker and acoustic guitars, I san see why

Massive respect to the players though, they are amazing.

Played this morning with 90 minutes practice,
Rode this afternoon with a great 90 minute ride into Brittany.
So what better to rock out with the Haleā€™s in the evening and a body temp Merlot (or two).
Shame its only 48 minutes - 90 would have been better.
Blimey Lizzy is 40 in October ! Remember a few years back when daughter and namesake Lizzy Granddaughter would hang out back stage at the end of concerts in Leeds and Sheffield and Lizzy and AJ would make time for fans and chat.

Girl has some serious pipes !

One for you @DarrellW

Was going to be an early night. Whereā€™s that box of Merlot.

Iā€™m baffled by the level of musicianship happening here:

An Aussie in the US that I recently found on YouTube that has some insane looping skills and great vocals.

https://youtu.be/NvGcH_JkkZI?si=I5wV5_-CXpabIXm_

Bands/Artists on my current playlist are:

Alabama 3
Hawkwind
Joe Bonamassa
King King
Larkin Poe
Laurence Jones
Lilā€™ Jimmy Reed
Mƶtorhead
Mƶtley CrĆ¼e
Samantha Fish
Stevie Wonder
The Fabulous Thunderbirds
The Rolling Stones
When Rivers Meet
Willie and the Bandits

Iā€™ve seen live or have tickets to see 11 of these bands; Joe Bonamassa I plan to see next year if heā€™s touring UK, I get the impression that the Fabulous Thunderbirds rarely tour outside the USA, And Stevie and the Stones I wonā€™t be going to see because I donā€™t waste my money on stadium gigs.

If youā€™ve managed to work your way through that lot, I bet youā€™re surprised I didnā€™t include this

Have a great day! :grinning:

Haha, Iā€™d have to invest in a new wig first
Thereā€™s something about her music that reminds me of Aussie C W Stoneking. You might like it

Iā€™ll have to look that upā€¦ I found Ms. Jewell because of Justinā€™s suggestion to listen to Bluesā€¦ I like to listen to a Blues number & let autoplay go on Pandora or Spotify. Found some very interesting music that way!
