If you like that song Simon, and the interpretation, you might want to listen to the version by Keith Jarret. No singing, only piano. Would be difficult to play along to though.
That sounds like a challenge @Prof_Thunder Ian
. I like that kind of piano arrangement. I used to play a jazz piano version of “Over the Rainbow”. I kind of want to get back to playing it. It would be competing against bass, guitar and song writing / recording time to play it anything like well though - so unfortunately I doubt I’ll go back to it anytime soon.
Duane Eddy created a distinctive guitar style by going against convention and soloing on the thick strings.
Great voice and fabulous guitar work.
A song for my missus. ![]()
Got into a little fusion phase recently and Spotify recommended me this song in a mix. What a brilliant piece of music! Started listening to the whole album and it’s simply amazing front to back.
Chris, thank you for posting this - there are quite a few guitar gods out there, but I think this is one of my favoutites now… - truly amazing!
I think I’ll put something here too, but what? … there is so much great music out there…
A gloomy autumn day song…
Live Foos complete with a shiny new drummer.
Bob Dylan vibes.
Fingerstyle Blues, Fingerpicking Blues, Solo Blues but not a Blues Solo, just Justin.

Perfection to my ears
Only yesterday I heard some sad news of an old friend I had lost contact with. Then this comes up on my feed. It’s gone to the top of my songs to learn list, even if I’ll never be able to sing it half as well as Alex does here.
Before you accuse me, Delta Blues style. Perfect combination of guitar, slide guitar and harmonica, and what a voice too!
