77 Best year of my life.

Normally I don’t get excited by covers but this is a band that I like and follow. I know their roots so this was an interesting cover mix. And as a die hard Skynyrd fan, I avoid covers. But alas the soul survivor of LS Gary Rossington is no longer with us. The fact that this his iconic 61 Gibson’s made the cover of two classic a much watch and I’m not disappointed.

A reminder of how to play this to spec. I covered it a while back and did an JGC OM effort and posted a MMS pre OM recording but so good to see and hear the original.
Capo at the 9th is a real challenge but I love this song and look forward to another stab.

I’ve recently discovered them too. So good. Way better than Swifty! Haha

Ella Langley just picked up a CMA Award and I dig it. She’s bringing a more traditional edge to country and is a great songwriter too.

Don’t spare the volume.

Susan and the boys. Great musicianship

Saw them a number of times in tiny venues when the moved to Merseyside, ending up doing a 2-year residency in the Cavern. They’re lovely people, as are their parents who did (do?) a lot of behind the scenes work.
Here’s their band in the Cavern with my mum, brother, and our families in 2014 :grinning_face_with_big_eyes:

One of my favourite bands, The Burning Hell, are back in Canada after a couple of weeks recording with these guys on the West Coast of Ireland :shamrock:
(Warning: political content and sweary language in the lyrics )

I had the pleasure of seeing these guys live last week in Cardiff.

Keeping Aussie Rock alive and kicking. Jeez was surprised its now 20+ years since they launched, how time flies. :+1: Watched many Hellfest gigs and for some reason I always thought they were in Germany but today I find they are 200 clicks south of me !
Bucket list, with the right line up ??

Oh, there is this one as well. They do sound a bit tired, but so be it. I’ll make this the soundtrack for the start of my workday soon…
