I have been working on this C tuned beauty of a song by Queens of the Stone Age this week. Anyone up for a Leg of Lamb?

Ah I missed it back then. The video listing claims āposted 5 days agoā. Oh well. Hope you like it (again)!
Loved them back then and enjoyed watching it again.
Looks like it was reposted by someone other than Eric.
Clapton got a lot of content on his youtube channel you should check it out
An astonishing live performance from one of the greatest songwriters, singers and performers of all time.
Brian
A flute solo ![]()
The most wonderfully weird stuff Iāve discovered this year so far.
Angine de Poitrine, microtonal post-punk rock
Prince was super underrated as a guitar player. His solo at the end of āWhile My Guitar Gently Weepsā at the George Harrison tribute is Legendary. It is also a big subtle middle finger to rolling stone magazine at the time. Due to the main guy for the magazine who dissed him was sitting right in the front of the stage.
I love them.
They popped up on my feed the other day actually. Did you see that fret spacing? Its wild, those guys are super rad.
I finally watched this after seeing the name āAngine de Poitrineā pop up on the periphery of my attention more often in the last couple of weeks. At first I was put off but then it became infectious. I feel like Iāve had some kind of bizarre musical mind control chip implanted into my brain. Theyāre just so hypnotic and strange and it somehow works.
Iāve seen this many times, and Iām apparently alone in thinking this is not that good of a solo. The solo should fit the song. This is a guitar exuberantly shouting, not gently weeping. Clapton got it right.
I had missed that post. I find them quite hypnotic too. Good to find out new music and something different for a change.
That guitar player definitely knows his effect pedals and gear
Haha
well everything can not be liked by everyone and everyone can not like everything. Life would be very boring if it was like that.
Iāve been really into the Shearwater song āBackchannelsā for the last few months. I really love this performanceāthe drummer is intense!
And while weāre on the subject of intense drummers, Iāll also drop this War on Drugs extended live performance of āUnder the Pressureā:
Before you , what was, and How great thou art. All of these are beauttiful songs.
Always a pleasure to see this. A superb piece of showmanship from Prince, plus some tasty guitar playing.
Trust the algorithm
.
After Angine de Poitrine, Glass Beams, an Australian prog rock band. Their music sounds like a good soundtrack for a trip through the desert on some alien worm.
Loving KEXP
Brian, you started this Angine de Poitrine thing. Since your post, thereās been a few memebers here talking about them and I finally gave them a chance. Well, that wasā¦an experience. Would I pay 100+ for a ticket? Absolutely not, but it was definitely what I expected based on the looks.
In other news, this is a completely random online discovery I just made. An alternate take of Robert Johnsonās Crossroads:
I went back into john Fruscianteās solo work and started digging again into some of that stuff. I went heavy into his 2004 solo work. Itās great stuff and really highlights his vocals and acoustic work, there is a lot of cool and interesting synth effect stuff also, but I have been focused on the acoustic work mostly. His guitar work is classic Hendricks styles with lots of blues influence,
I really love John, he has a ton of emotional music its very raw. During 2004 he released 4 full Solo LPs and he also was involved in many other projects that year. Curtains is my favorite release of the 4, but shadows collide with people is a very close second. This song is from the shadows release (Wikipedia is showing curtains as released in 2005 but it was definitely avalible in 2004 for some)
