I posted Suzi Quatro a couple of weeks ago. In keeping with the theme hereās a 79 year old John Fogerty. I think some of these past musicians are only now regaining the copyright to their songs so they are posting new recordings.

I recently watched a video about the strange history of John Fogerty and āownershipā of the songs he wrote with CCR. Apparently the CCR catalogue was owned by somebody else so he didnāt have the rights. When he released āOld Man Down the Road,ā he was sued for āripping offā himself! It eventually got sorted and he was able to perform CCR songs again but it took decades.

Weāve had a spate of old timers posting new stuff lately. If you like rock on acoustic guitar Melissa Etheridgeās first 2 albums were as good as it gets. Then her next few albums weāre a little over produced for my liking, producers adding too many layers of unnecessary noise has always annoyed me. Pleased to see that her more recent work has had some good guitar playing in it.

Khruangbinās so good. Everybody in that band is great. August 10 is one of my dreamer songsāI can play some bits of it but would love to be able to do the whole thing.

Been a long time since Iāve listened to the album but I remember a lot of the songs. The vibe of the band resonated with me as a teenager.

One thing that impresses me from this video is that this is not a 5 piece band. The sax, electric guitar and keys are covered by local session musicians. The original band (from Brazil) is just the singer and the guy on the console. They all sound so good together though.

Brother and sister duo I believe. Each has their own channel. They donāt post often but when they do itās always high quality.
And this one. Iām obviously in need of a meditative vibe this morning.
I canāt help myself ā¦ enjoying the vibe and mad grooves of this outdoor concert in temperatures below -20C from a few months ago.
