After a few listens I think Iāve figured this out. Itās modern surf guitar.
Surfing on the underground rivers of a planet in a galaxy far far awayā¦
Well all I can say is wow
Been mixing minor and Major pents recently and this popped up in the YT feed.
Guess 1970 is when I started to get into Southern/Country Rock and these guys and Skynyrd were ever present. Thereās a build in this around the 8 minute mark that echoes Jessica to my ears. Beg borrow steal guess that is what we all do to get them licks n phrases down. Even better if you āownā both toons ! ![]()
This laid back duo just drop into my feed.
CB reminds me of Peter Pan as he donāt age.
M Sender has some sultry vox and plays a bit ![]()
So this combo ticked many boxes!
@Malz This version would suit you and Lara to a tea !!
Keep gravitating to Roryās Bad Penny but work in progress, slow progress. Always good to take a look at his 12BB tracks, man must have been on speed !
Oh and his bass man was the ādogsā !!
Finally revisited a classic, if you are of a certain age. Great beginners A D E workout.
And the lesson from the man himself

Simples,
OK so one more from Joe C.
The version he sang at Woodstock in 69 was epic but this 1970 recording was another classic
I am sorry but after 60 plus years of seriously listening to muzix fron the age of ten, there has always been a strong pharmaceutical influence and though I donāt didnāt indulge personally I can see how it shaped the songs of the day,
fook I hate the algorithms but after an hour or two of trawling some Joe Cocker . YT threw up a noodle I did years back !!

Not sure of the connection but happy to share the coincidence.
I will suggest it, see what she thinks. ![]()
Although, of course, Mr Henley and his minions may take down any video posted. ![]()
Another great one to add to my long list of things to learn. I donāt know why but it reminds me of Jeff Buckley. His voice would have been perfect on top of that guitar tone.
All Them Witches - Everest
Nice. I like the fact thatās itās a short piece, just over 3 mins. Not trying to do too much, just hereās what I have to say, no more no less.
Iāve seen him in a short live appearance (at a Masonic event.) Heās amazing.
Wow, really really like this. I can definitely pick up the Jeff Buckley vibe you mentioned. I might have to dig into their catalogue if thereās more like this!
No apologies for another wonderful song from Jesse. He keeps pumping them out at a reasonable rate of knots. Many I canāt share here due to the political nature on world events - he is a modern day Dylan in that respect - so feel free to explore that side of things.
Plays it simple plays it true and tells many wonderful stories. Cover exploration might follow but less intricate for sure.
Enjoy,

I didnāt understand a word of this but itās fascinating all the same.
