Here is my contribution “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas”.
The song was written by Johnny Marks in 1962 and was recorded by some artists before it was famously performed by Bert Ives in 1964. Since then, it has been recorded by many artists, including the likes of Michael Buble.
We did do this at the recent Guitar Club Christmas Performance, in a key that was outside my range, so have transposed it down.
Here’s one of my favourite Christmas songs, “Little drummer boy”, which I’ve renamed to “Little guitar boy” . This is based on the version by the band “for King & Country”, from which I’ve borrowed the bass and the drums. Everything else is mine, played with my new guitar which I finished assembling a few days ago.
Thanks Deborah.
I used a free software called Shotcut on Windows.
I put the audio together using Audacity.
The tricky bit was synchronising the video to the audio for each clip.
Its wild because I was just coming to post my video as well, also Little Drummer Boy. I finally got it uploaded to you tube. LOL. I really need a new set up.
I have the tour sweater from the Riffmass world tour 2025, from the Pickville USA show on the 19th. i had to wear it to show my festive spirit.
Well I have loved this song since early childhood. This Is Joan Jetts version of Little Drummer Boy. Haha so funny. When or iff you watch, I have the 12 inch vinyl in the back ground that has this song on it. I belive it was released in 1983.
I dont have a mic yet. My voice has been out for a few days and I can not really sing over all this amplified speaker suff.
I can’t imagine Christmas without Silent Night, and Travis has already contributed a beautifully sung and played version. I would like to contribute a Polish version, ‘Cicha Noc’ as it is sung in Poland.
When my family gets together at Christmas, we sing “Stille Nacht” in German and “Cicha Noc” in Polish. I would love to hear how Deborah sings it in French, Silvia in Italian, Lisa in German, and countless other versions, but that’s probably too big a Christmas wish.
Merry Christmas everybody.

Here is - just in time - my contribution to this year’s festive songs. I’ve chosen a popular, upbeat traditional German Christmas song “Morgen Kinder wirds was geben”. The original lyrics are over 200 years old but they were updated in 1927 by Erich Kaestner. I’ve arranged it myself - travis picking of course, what else I started out with a straight-forward chord-melody but it needed synchopation! Funny how these things evolve if you give them time and space. Hope you enjoy!
And here is one more … this was the song I had meant to perform in the OM but Christmas preparations are a bit hectic this year - I only now got round to recording it It is the Jason Mraz version he released a few years ago - there are a lot of great versions of this song out there but this one is my favourite, from the first moment I heard it. And he also plays it on a Taylor guitar It was one of my goals for 2025 to finally learn it - it’s ok but still a bit too much buzzing - will polish it next year. Enjoy!!!
